Blue Mountains Top 4 – Best Fine Dining

We’re all locals, and the Scenic World team want to share with you the best of the Blue Mountains. Where would a local go for a fine dining experience?
Views? Local Produce? Delectable delights?  We reckon we have it all in the Blue Mountains.

We love the seven dish share-plate dining experience offered here. Takes the worry out of ordering and you are in good hands with the chef choosing his favourite dishes using the best local and regional produce. The set menu also means you get to try a bit of everything and makes great value fine dining.  The dining room is intimate with a nostalgic 1920’s ambience. There’s also a swish private dining room you can book ahead if you go with a group. Well worth a visit – a firm favourite of the Scenic World team.

Nestled in the heart of charming Leura, is the award winning Silks Brasserie. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant has smart deco, serving up modern Australian food  and wines with slick service that somehow still feels very homely. Some favorite dishes include lightly peppered roast Kangaroo or their home made gnocchi for our vegetarian friends. The room feels light, bright and relaxing, making it a lovely place to while away a few hours over a lazy lunch.

Tucked away on Cliff Drive – half way between Katoomba and Leura is the Solitary restaurant. The building itself is heritage listed; a gorgeous Blue Mountains cottage with garden and terrace, and beautiful views over Jamison Valley.  There is an emphasis on seasonal produce, and for lunch you can choose from a restaurant menu or a more casual kiosk menu, with dinner being offered on Friday & Saturday nights.
