Top Five Fireside Favourites

Scenic World staff are pros when it comes to R n’ R, so we’ve asked them to tell us their favourite spots to warm up in Winter.

Yellow Deli Katoomba

With a lovely fireplace to warm your cockles and decorated with handmade furniture, Yellow Deli (pictured above) has a very inviting feel.

Choose something from their menu filled with comfort food and you’re well on your way to thawing out from the winter chill.

The Carrington Hotel Katoomba

Thanks to its roaring fire, deep couches and velvet curtains, The Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy a nightcap with friends.

Darley’s Restaurant and The Lounge Bar – Lilianfels Resort Katoomba

The-multi award winning Darley’s serves modern Australian cuisine in a romantic space featuring original ornate fire places, crystal chandeliers and beautiful stained glass windows.

Alternatively, settle into a Victorian armchair in The Lounge Bar with a good book and some afternoon tea… next to a gorgeous open fire of course!

Embers Restaurant –  The Fairmont Resort Leura

Offering stunning views and an enormous stone fireplace, this is a great place to enjoy bite to eat and in keeping with the family friendly vibe of this hotel, there’s also a kids menu available.

The Gardners Inn Blackheath

Built in 1831, the Inn is located in the heart of Blackheath which, at 1065 metres above sea level, is one of the highest (and coldest) towns in the Blue Mountains.

With hearty meals available in the dining room, a choice of two roaring fires and cold beer on tap, surely this is a Winter-time trifecta.
