Itinerary

Couple's Escape

Wander where the wifi is weak for memorable romantic getaway.

As any Bachelor fan knows, Tim Robards & Anna Heinrich had their first date atop the Scenic Skyway in the very first Australian series... now they're hitched. Here's a little guide to creating your own magic - good luck at the rose ceremony!

SKYWAY TO EAST STATION

Take in panoramic views of Jamison Valley, Katoomba Falls, Three Sisters & rainforest canopy.

SKYWAY EAST STATION TO KATOOMBA FALLS

Take the Prince Henry Cliff Walk and watch Katoomba Falls cascading below. Gaze across the World Heritage landscapes including Ruin Castle, Jamison Valley and the edge of the Megalong Valley.

SKYWAY TO MAIN BUILDING

Grab an espresso at the Terrace Café and enjoy Mary’s Lookout. Named after Mary Hammon, wife of Scenic World founder Harry Hammon, it boasts spectacular views of the Three Sisters. Grab a bottle of water and snacks for the Walkway.

RAILWAY DOWN TO WALKWAY

Take the Scenic Railway into the Valley & meander along 2.4 kilometres of elevated boardwalk through ancient rainforest. Take a moment in the Rainforest Room – the location of many Scenic World weddings.

CABLEWAY UP TO MAIN BUILDING

Walk to Cableway Bottom Station – gently ascend out of the Valley, past sandstone cliffs & Orphan Rock. Grab your souvenir photographs as a memory of your visit.

SKYWAY RETURN TRIP

Take a return trip on the Skyway (which has hosted a number of mid-air wedding proposals) as the sunsets, experience the Three Sisters bathed in golden sunlight.
