Wow—what an experience! My Dutch friend and I did the full-day pass including the Buunyal Tour, and it was honestly the highlight of our Blue Mountains trip. Our guide, Stephanie, was absolutely phenomenal. Her genuine, engaging, and down-to-earth approach made even the hardest parts of Australia’s history feel accessible and necessary to hear. It wasn’t a lecture—it was a deeply human, moving, and empowering experience. The mantra “once you know better, be better” really stayed with me. As a non-Indigenous Australian, I’ve often left training feeling guilty or overwhelmed—but this was different. Inclusive, respectful, and motivating. My friend (who's lived in Australia for over a decade) was shocked at how much she hadn’t been taught. We had some incredible conversations afterwards—it sparked real reflection and curiosity. The tour did go a little longer than expected (no complaints from us!) but a heads-up would be helpful. I suffer from a condition known as hangry-itis—a dangerous combination of low blood sugar and dramatic flair—but I managed to hold it together until the end. Just. One small downside: the café didn’t open before the tour, and seeing staff with their coffees while we were uncaffeinated bystanders was...a little heartbreaking. Some signage or clearer info would go a long way there. Still, this was a 10/10 experience. Insightful, moving, and absolutely worth doing. Thank you to Stephanie and the team for helping us walk away better informed and more inspired to advocate.

We did a Buunyal Tour with Stefanie. She was excellent, we learnt so much. Stef was so knowledgeable and friendly; no questions were off limits. Thouroughly enjoyed our time at Scenic World. Les & Ina Port Macquarie (recently relocated from Ballarat)

We did the Buunyal tour with Stefanie. She was incredible! Her professionalism, passion and knowledge was awesome. For many tourists, or those who may not know much about Aboriginal culture should 100% attend this tour, Stefanie explained many parts of history, and their culture which was very informative. What I really liked, was how the gifts in the gift shop were from First Nations People, not massed produced. I hope to see more of this! Scenic World clearly listens to First Nations People including their staff to inform their tours, which is something we don’t see often in tourism which I have found valuable.

Had family over from NZ. Decided to book the Scenic World Buunyal Tour with tour guide David King. Best decision ever! I have visited the Blue Mountains, Scenic World and the Three Sisters many times over the years with overseas visitors and it started to become a little familiar and dull. Doing the tour gave me a deeper appreciation of the Blue Mountains, the Three Sisters, the valley, its creation and importance as well as the indigenous storytelling and dreaming aspects. Highly recommend anyone who has the time (ours was around 2.5 hours) to invest/buy tickets online for the tour with Scenic World and truly appreciate what makes this area special to the Gundungarra people.

We did the Buunyal tour of Scenic World with Uncle David King, a Gundungurra man. It was a highlight of our holiday. We learned so much about Country, Lore, Connections, Culture and People from Uncle David. The tour lasted for a good couple of hours and my two kids who are 11 and 15 were engaged throughout. Uncle David took us on all the attractions at Scenic World and shared generously his knowledge of Culture and the significance of different places, plants and animals to the Gundungurra People, using stories of his family and history. Thank you Uncle David for your open-hearted kindness to us as visitors to your part of the world. After the tour we had time to go on the attractions again, as the tour ticket includes entry for the day.
