We are a COVIDSafe experience. Due to social distancing requirements, capacity is limited across the venue. We strongly advise booking online prior to arrival. Please note, visitors aged 16+ must be fully vaccinated for entry before December 15, 2021.
Scenic Pass includes:
- Descend into the Jamison Valley on the world’s steepest train, the Scenic Railway, or glide on the Cableway past Orphan Rock and the iconic Three Sisters - you decide
- Enjoy a stroll beneath ancient rainforest canopy at your own pace along the 10 minute or *30 minute Scenic Walkway
- Return to the main building via the Cableway or the Scenic Railway
- Glide past ancient sandstone cliffs, epic valley views and spectacular Katoomba Falls on a return trip on the Scenic Skyway
Scenic World is an outdoor attraction, so please come prepared to be in the elements. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
*Please note the 30 minute boardwalk closes approximately 1 hour before closing time. We advise arriving promptly at the beginning of your session if you purchase the last session of the day and wish to access the longer boardwalk.
Child = 3-15 years (children under 3 years are free!) Add more children at discounted Child Pass price.
In line with the current Public Health Order, all visitors aged 16+ must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon entry to Scenic World. This applies until December 15, 2021. For information on how to access your vaccination certificate, please click HERE.
Visitors aged under 16 years are not required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, but must travel with a fully vaccinated adult.
Unvaccinated guests are welcome to purchase tickets for entry from December 15, 2021.
Masks are also mandatory on all Scenic World rides and in indoor settings.
Safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff remains Scenic World’s constant priority. To help stop the spread of coronavirus, we have worked with health and safety experts to implement enhanced cleaning and safe hygiene processes that meet all requirements.
We have increased the number and frequency of our already thorough cleaning procedures. High touch points are sanitised with disinfectant, including ride cabins every hour. All Scenic World staff are also fully vaccinated to protect the safety and wellbeing of our guests.
Throughout your visit, we ask you to please observe physical distancing, cover your cough and practice safe hand hygiene at the many hand sanitiser stations across site.
We’re sure the peace of mind provided by our enhanced measures allows you to focus on fun!
HOW TO BOOK
Due to physical distancing, capacity is limited across the venue – booking ahead online is strongly advised, including for our valued Annual Pass Members.
Passes are available ONLINE with timed-ticket entry for all guests. During your visit, please note Scenic World is cashless, with contactless pay wherever possible.
Please note your experience starts sharply at the time of your booking, to allow for check in.
COVID-19 CONDITION OF ENTRY
In line with the current advice from NSW Health, all visitors are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide a vaccination certificate upon entry to Scenic World. For more information, click HERE. For more detail on our current COVIDSafe operations and procedures, click here.
Please note, masks are mandatory on all Scenic World rides and indoor settings.
If you have been asked to self-isolate, have had any cold or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days, please do not visit Scenic World.

Scenic World is located in the Blue Mountains, a World Heritage region west of Sydney, Australia. We operate extended hours during selected days in the Summer holidays, visit our Tickets page for more information.
Scenic World is less than two hours’ travel time (~100km) by car via the M4 & Great Western Highway. Free undercover parking is available in our multi storey carpark on site. Tesla Connector charging points for electric vehicles are available to the public in our multi storey carpark with 240v 10A 3 pin wall outlets (up to 22kW).
Sydney Trains operate between Central Station and Katoomba Station on the Blue Mountains Line. Scenic World is located 3km from Katoomba Station, accessible via the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus or the public bus Route 686 & 686G which both stop in our bus park.

After a morning exploring the valley floor and riding the Scenic Railway, Cableway and Skyway, you'll have built up a mountainous appetite. Scenic World's Terrace Café offers everything from hot meals and coffees to cold local beers and ice creams... with a side of the best view in the Blue Mountains.
Catering to all tastes and dietary requirements, you can visit the Terrace Café without a ticket to Scenic World. Menus change seasonally, but the view goes on forever.
Fancy a spot of shopping? Our retail space is one of the largest tourism stores in the country, and has everything you need for adventure (think warm puffy jackets, sunscreen, rain gear, snacks) through to unique local wares from MNTS MADE producers, perfect as souvenirs or gifts. In fact, we sell more than 1,200 unique items.
Important Note: Drone Use Prohibited
The recreational use of drones – including launching, landing or operating – is strictly prohibited within Scenic World’s airspace. Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) dangerously interfere with critical aerial cabling, significantly impacting on Scenic World operations. Drones intrude on visitor privacy and also potentially disturb wildlife.
Drone use by licensed pilots for commercial or media purposes must receive prior written approval via firstname.lastname@example.org. Scenic World is adjacent to the Blue Mountains National Park. Drone use within this space must comply with civil aviation laws and the National Parks & Wildlife Service Drones in Parks Policy.
