Getting Here

Scenic World is located in the Blue Mountains, a World Heritage region west of Sydney, Australia. We are open every day of the year, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. We operate extended hours during selected days in the Summer holidays, visit our Tickets page for more information.

CAR

Scenic World is less than two hours’ travel time (~100km) by car via the M4 & Great Western Highway. Free undercover parking is available in our multi storey carpark on site. Tesla Connector charging points for electric vehicles are available to the public in our multi storey carpark with 240v 10A 3 pin wall outlets (up to 22kW).

TAXI

Katoomba Taxi Service or 13CABS service the upper Blue Mountains.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Sydney Trains operate between Central Station and Katoomba Station on the Blue Mountains Line. Scenic World is located 3km from Katoomba Station, accessible via the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus or the public bus Route 686 which both stop outside our Main Entry.

Important Note: Drone Use Prohibited

The recreational use of drones – including launching, landing or operating – is strictly prohibited within Scenic World’s airspace. Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) dangerously interfere with critical aerial cabling, significantly impacting on Scenic World operations. Drones intrude on visitor privacy and also potentially disturb wildlife.

Drone use by licensed pilots for commercial or media purposes must receive prior written approval via media@scenicworld.com.au. Scenic World is adjacent to the Blue Mountains National Park. Drone use within this space must comply with civil aviation laws and the National Parks & Wildlife Service Drones in Parks Policy.

Dining

Scenic World has two licensed dining options on site – our quick service Terrace Café and casual eatery EATS270.

EATS270

Open 11:00am – 3:00pm daily.

Located on L3 with indoor and limited outdoor seating. This relaxed eatery offers casual lunch options including delicious burgers, fresh wraps and seasonal specials. Kids meals are available along with halal, vegan and vegetarian options. Perched on the edge of the escarpment, EATS is located 270 metres above the valley floor with views to the Three Sisters.

TERRACE CAFE

Open 9:00am – 5:00pm daily.

Located on L2 with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Mt Solitary and the Jamison Valley. Offers espresso coffee and speciality teas, bakery goods and light snacks. Enjoy a selection of Central NSW wines and craft beers from farm-based brewery, Pioneer Brewing. Don’t miss the view from Mary’s Lookout, a terrific vantage point to take in the Three Sisters and the vast Jamison Valley.

Retail

Scenic World has an extensive retail space stocking branded apparel, beauty & wellness products, souvenirs and select gourmet consumables. We are proud to partner with MTNS MADE, stocking unique goods crafted by local artists including handprinted textiles, children’s gifts and art prints inspired by our native flora and fauna.

Staff favourites include organic skincare from Clemence Organics and incredible award winning honey from our friends Tim & Emma at Malfroy’s Gold.

Last minute essentials also include wet weather gear, hats and sunscreen.

Foreign currency is accepted along with all major credit cards including China Union Pay.

School Groups

Nature-based experiences are the ideal platform to cultivate children’s love of learning. Scenic World provides a unique backdrop, offering a fun and educational introduction to the World-Heritage listed Blue Mountains. Understand the engineering of the world’s steepest passenger train; discover the region's coal mining history; and observe the flora and fauna of a Jurassic era rainforest. With options for guided and unguided school groups, we deliver an accessible and memorable excursion.
